Leadership & Hierarchy
Lead by an Oligarchy, Osteon, the Kingdom of Adonis to outsiders, is the most technologically advanced of the Four Kingdoms. The leaders are considered the 'smartest' in the Kingdom and once every five years, there is a kingdom-wide test that goes out. This test determines who, if anyone, will lead.

  • Mallow -- Known for their expertise in Agriculture, later in woodcutting, engraving, and general crafting. They take care of most of the trading.
  • Dandelion -- Known for their expertise in medicine, training of doctors, and finding herbs. Deal with most of the education in the kingdom.
  • Parsley -- Known for their expertise in tech, and navigation by use of stars.
  • Burdock Root -- Known for their expertise in people, such as psychology and game theory
  • Poppy -- Known for ruling the courts.

While laws are put to the five houses to vote on, Poppy is the house that announces said decisions and is responsible for the follow through.

Overview
Composed of controversial AHA guild members, this kingdom has begun to form around a recently discovered ruin in The Gale Fields. Though the founders of this kingdom would like Osteon to remain a secret - or at least not the talk of the town - they had no such luck. Not a place of travel yet, Osteon flourishes around what the AHA guild can only assume to be a corpse of Those Who Were Before.

Most of the buildings began their lives as research outposts, with farms and the makings of a true city coming after.

The placement of the city - in what should be a pure research center or at the least hollow grounds - is not the only contributor to its renown. The founder of Osteon, Weylan Dandelion, has been making moves to create what they call a 'Kingdom'. Some in the AHA guild support them, resulting in the faction and kingdom melding into one in the societal sense despite a large majority of the AHA Guild wanting no part.

Laws
Laws are decided upon by the five families and enforced by the Poppy family.

The Poppy family's police force is rumored to exist, but in true Osteon fashion has known name or ranking officers. The house of Poppy does inform the denizens if someone is under investigation and what their punishment is but rarely is anything more then that announced.

  • Respect the dead -- You mustn't create life or will someone back from the dead or give one that is dead, flesh.
  • Respect the Purse -- You mustn't create anything of monetary value.
  • Respect the leaders -- You mustn't create anything of political value.

* note you can use any spell in Daggerheart, there will just be in character repercussions

Technology
Almost all technological advancements in the world are from Osteon. In the past years, the streets of the kingdom have seen a few 'animated in-organics' colloquially called 'Constructs'.

They are created using differing materials including wood, moss, mushrooms, earth and stone. This is one of the many secrets Osteon keeps close to it's chest. Knowledge of Constructs is heavily restricted, with the general Osteon population knowing only that they exist.

Constructs are bestowed to and created by members of the four leading houses as a show of trust.
